Last Sunday Tim, Lyn and I drove down to Lexington to watch Sarah’s nationals preview. They traveled to Florida this weekend for the UDA competition and went to finals in both pom and hip-hop. I’m so proud of my dancer bestie!

Lyn, Tim and I took a little day visit to the Frazier Museum today to see their new photography exhibit called Rough Road. The project was done by three photographers in the 1970’s who traveled through every county in Kentucky to take a picture. We really enjoyed it and encourage you to go!

Thanks to Kinfolk I was recently introduced to the food blog My New Roots. This blog is written by a lady named Sarah who is a holistic nutritionist and vegetarian chef. She has developed a 2012 detox plan that not only looks insanely good for you but also crazy delicious.

By the way… if you haven’t seen Tim’s recent wedding video you must head that way.

Reading is one of those things I always aspire to do but simply never have time. This break has been great for providing a little extra downtime to engage in reading. I am currently reading The Prodigal God by Tim Keller. Although I am only half way through, I have really enjoyed this read. I think it is a great book for non-Christians, new Christians, and old Christians alike. It is also a somewhat short and easy read I encourage you to try.

I have adored Kinfolk since the first volume that was published. A guide to gatherings…yes please. Tim gave me the second volume that recently came out for Christmas and it came in the mail yesterday. Can you tell I was excited?! If you haven’t ordered your copy you must.

Tim and I enjoyed a lovely “day date” today. We started with lunch at a fairly new restaurant in downtown Louisville called Harvest. All of the food served here is local and overly delicious. Then we headed to Quills so that I could read my Kinfolk magazine (given by Tim) and he could read his Wendell Berry book (given by me). Actually now that I think about it I think Tim was reading one of Wendell Berry’s books given to him by Wendell Berry himself! It was a great day with my great guy.

I am officially done with the semester. I now have 10 hours left of my college career. My how time flies. I am hoping to catch up on things I want to do and personal projects over our long Christmas break. Whew how much work I could get done in a studio space like this. Hope your weekend is grand!

Today is the birthday of this blonde bombshell/sartorialist model. We love you Caroline and hope your day is great!
